Damon® Clear is a specific brand of clear self-ligating brackets. Clear self-ligating braces use clear or tooth-colored brackets with a built-in clip or sliding door that holds the archwire without the small elastic ties used with many traditional braces.
Clear brackets can be less noticeable than metal brackets, although they are not invisible. Like other self-ligating systems, their built-in mechanism may make cleaning around the brackets simpler and may shorten some adjustment appointments. Treatment time and results depend on the patient’s orthodontic needs, not the bracket’s brand or appearance alone.
