Planning Your Visits

Appointments and Scheduling

Your visits are planned around your treatment needs. Knowing what to expect can make it easier to plan around school, work, and family commitments.

4–10 weeks

Between Appointments

Appointment intervals depend on your treatment and may change as your smile progresses.

60 minutes

Typical Longer Visit

Longer appointments are scheduled in the morning. Please keep this in mind when planning your day.

2–4 visits

Longer Appointments

You may need this many longer visits during treatment. The number varies from person to person.

Need to Reschedule?

Contact our office so we can help you find another appointment. We do our best to accommodate your needs, but changes to the timing of your visits can affect your overall treatment time.

Looking for an Earlier Opening?

After you reschedule, our team will contact you if an earlier appointment or a time that better fits your schedule becomes available.

Everyday Tools for Your Smile

Helpful Products
During Treatment

These favorites from our in-office care guide can make cleaning around braces and staying comfortable a little easier.

Not sure which tool fits your routine? Ask our team at your next appointment. We’re happy to show you how to use it.

Oral-B Super Floss

A Wildflower favorite for cleaning around braces. Its stiffened end helps guide floss beneath orthodontic wires, while the soft, spongy section helps clean around brackets and between teeth.

Ask us for a demonstration at your next visit.

Gishy Goo

A comfort product that cushions brackets or wires that rub against your lips, cheeks, or tongue. Follow the product’s instructions when applying it.

Temporary comfort only; it does not repair a broken appliance.

Waterpik Water Flosser

A helpful addition to your regular flossing routine for flushing away food particles around brackets, wires, and hard-to-reach areas.

Follow your device’s instructions and ask our team how to fit it into your routine.

Electric Toothbrush

An electric toothbrush with soft bristles can help you clean around brackets and wires. Choose a head that is easy to maneuver and take your time around each bracket and along the gumline.

We can show you techniques for cleaning areas that are easy to miss.

Questions are seeds that turn into knowledge

At Wildflower Orthodontics, there’s no such thing as a silly question. If we didn’t answer a question you have below, please call or email us. We’d love to help in any way we can.

Yes. School excuse notes can be emailed after a completed appointment. We cannot provide a school excuse for a missed appointment or for arriving without a scheduled appointment.

Please call or text before arriving so we can coordinate your care. Arriving without an appointment may result in a significant wait because our schedule accommodates a limited number of patients at a time.

Call us first. Do not cut or remove a wire unless our team specifically instructs you to do so.
Sometimes. Let our team know even if it does not hurt. We will decide whether it can wait or needs an earlier repair based on your symptoms and treatment needs.
Absolutely. Ask at your next appointment. Our team can demonstrate flossing and brushing techniques and help you choose tools that fit your needs.
Wildflower retainer and teeth whitening services are available to patients who completed orthodontic treatment with our practice. Contact our team to discuss your needs.
